‘To Rise’
Ages 2 - approx 3yrs 6months
To foster an environment through manaakitanga, where whānau and ngā tamariki feel welcome. Social concepts are explored through kindness, role modelling and tuakana tēina.
Relationships with whānau (family) are highly important to us ensuring that we welcome, greet and interact with all that enter our environment. We strive towards building nurturing relationships within our team, with our whānau and our wider community.
Tamariki (children) are supported through positive guidance, giving them opportunities to explore.
Our online learning platform; Educa is used by kaiako to share learning stories and photos with you of what your tamaiti (child) has been up to. Each tamaiti in the preschool is assigned a profile kaiako (teacher) who will encourage and observe learning oppportunities. Stories and photos are shared online through links allowing whanau and friends locally and further afield to keep up to date with your tamaiti learning journey.

Creative Environment
Tamariki are actively encouraged to get ‘hands on’ with their creativity. Painting, craft and music areas are all staples of the Whare Tipu environment.

Large Outdoor Area
Our largest outdoor area is shared between Whare Tipu and Whare Piki. Offering a variety of play areas including a sandpit, bike track and climbing area allowing tamariki to develop physical skills and confidence.

Sleep Room
The sleep room is shared between Whare Tipu and Whare Piki allowing tamariki who require a nap in the day to do so in a safe monitored space.
